Delphine Coma combines elements of post-punk, shoegaze, and darkwave to create their own unique and entrancing sound using lush atmospheres and harsh guitars to create entrancing soundscapes that blur genres. 
 

Active in the music scene since 1994,  Ashe Ruppe (formerly of Nocturne, Submarine Fleet, Trance to the Sun, disekt, and others) started Delphine Coma in 2012 after renaming his current band, which had become a solo project.

 Originally releasing several singles and videos online, Delphine Coma signed with Swiss Dark Nights in 2018 after doing a remix of "Nite Rite" for Ash Code in 2016 which appeared on their album 'Posthuman' released on Metropolis Records.  In 2017, at the end of the recording of the first full length album,  Amendoa Lizzbeth Tamburri, a prominent Austin TX, DJ and former vocalist for Rosebuds, joined the band.

In 2018 Delphine Coma released the full length album 'Leaving The Scene' to rave reviews worldwide along with constant comparisons of Ashe's singing voice to "that of a younger Andrew Eldritch".  The album sparked quite a buzz making many end of the year top album lists.  The same year Ashe was also a part of Ediburgh Scotland's Kill Shelter, providing vocals and guitar to the wildly popular single "In Decay" from the album 'Damage' which also made as many end of year top album lists.  In 2019 the band released the maxi-single 'Secondary Eyes' accompanied with a quarantine performance video which appeared on Gothicat Fest #4 and remixes by HAPAX and The Coventry.

In 2020 Eric Cope of the legendary San Francisco post-punk band, Glorious Din, recorded his vocal appearance since 1984 which appeared on the second Delphine Coma full length album entitled 'Tortuosa'.  The album was released to rave reviews and once again made numerous top album of the year lists.  That same year the band were sited as "The perfect meeting of the Sisters of Mercy and My Bloody Valentine" by New Dark Age -Amazon Italia's #1 Best Selling music reference guide chronicling notable post-punk, coldwave, deathrock, gothic and darkwave bands from 1976 to the current era.

Delphine Coma have remixed bands such as: Ash Code, Agent Side Grinder, Ductape, Antipole, European Ghost, Icy Men, Searmanas, Kiss of the Whip, Entertainment, The Devil & The Universe, Silent Runners, Black Rose Burning, The Palace of Tears and more.
